Dr. Dan Iosifescu, an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, is Director of Neurophysiology Studies at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he investigates structural, biochemical and functional brain abnormalities in mood disorders, and their impact on clinical treatment. Dr. Douglas Jacobs, Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, founded Screening for Mental Health, where he conceived the National Depression Screening Day, the first program to apply the concept of a large-scale health screening to a mental illness. (Read more.)
Dr. Kay Jamison, Professor of Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is the author of Night Falls Fast: Understanding Suicide, among other excellent books. She has been named one of the "Best Doctors in the United States" and was chosen by Time magazine as a "Hero of Medicine." (Read more.)
Dr. John Jordan, a psychologist in private practice specializing in bereavement, is the founder and director of the Family Loss Project. He is the co-author of After Suicide Loss: Coping with Your Grief, and he is a professional advisor to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
